Paint the Ocean

While my job constantly takes me away from my passion for painting, this course has been just super in allowing me to come back time after time to resume where I left off. Hopefully in the near future I will be retired, and will be able to dedicate more time to this wonderful hobby. If you have a love for nature, and beauty of our oceans and seas, this is a must course that will last you a life time. Such an open and honest account of a 'real' life in the art world. I am a regular 39 year old guy who plays sport, works and has a young family. But I also LOVE art and painting is a huge passion. Scott's videos have shown me how to become a better artist, but more importantly have shown me how to push myself in the 'right' directions. I have already re-watched as I've painted the different elements of my newest seascape. Great, easy to follow instructions and demonstrations. Money is tight in our house but this is one of the best investments we have made!

Hello, my name is Tanya Garland. I am a self taught artist located in the USA that has been painting for the majority of my life. I am following the advice given, and watching it all through first. I have just finished watching the course itself, with just the two full painting videos to go. I am most impressed by the amount and depth of the information the course contains. Right down to which paper Scott uses for his work sheets, or all about art licensing. Products he tried, and what is too expensive, the lot. I know I will be able to apply Scott's methods to paintings of many different subjects, and I am feeling confident about where I am going from here. I studied art at both TAFE and uni, but I never felt as sure about the work as I do right now. I learnt about making the art, but never about the next step. I am so pleased I found 'Paint the Ocean', I feel like it will make a big change for me.

I have just started painting at 50 years of age and I have always had an affinity, respect and love of the ocean since I started surfing on the Gold Coast, Australia at the age of four. This is the best painting course I have ever attended in the 20 years I've been painting, I almost didn't attend your class due to shifting and other family matters (but you made it so easy - great price, online - can do it in our own time, from the comfort of my own home) You're my favourite ocean artist of all time... We see your work every time we are on the Gold Coast and I drool over your vivid colours and your amazing talent, and to paint even something similar to your standard would be an honour. ....So to be able to attend your painting class was so fabulous, a wish come true! I'm a beginner and have been teaching myself through youtube tutorials using acrylics. I've learnt a lot but not enough to make me feel confident i could just do a painting on my own. So I decided to search for some courses and found Scott's "Paint in the Ocean". This course is amazing for beginners as well as professional artists. Scott doesn't hold back he teaches everything he has learnt over the years and breaks it down... there's so much information and not only are all the videos so informative and relaxing to watch ; there's also PDF format so you can print everything out and have your own folder so you can go back and reference check if you wish. I'm excited for my new journey and recommend this course highly its been money well spent! Thanks Scott for putting this course together your works amazing :-)

I have found the approach and friendliness helpful. The content is clear and concise. Scott Christensen is a master and I am amazed how much he is sharing from technique to colour blends. I like the option to read and watch. The website and modules are simple and extremely easy to use. The price is awesome and when contacting Scott his replies are almost immediate. I feel supported and inspired. I am less than half way through this course and already feel like my skills have improved along with my confidence. I am seeing the results in the new techniques following the videos. I think the only thing to beat this course is a face to face opportunity to paint alongside Scott. I want my name down first! I have terminal cancer and this course has brightened my days and advanced my abilities already. I am so excited to complete this course to enjoy the benefits of hopefully adding my new skills to my existing style and earning an income. I appreciate the transparency of discussing marketing and expanding your business and offering hints and tips from someone who has been there and done that. For a person who professes not to be a teacher, Scott does an absolutely brilliant presentation. He is such a humble, helpful instructor! Great thought has been given to the framework and delivery of this course- it is easy to understand and the steps are beautifully set out - sequential, easy to follow with uncomplicated language, enabling beginners to reach an incredible level of mastery and self-confidence. I have gone through the course twice now to consolidate and refresh my understanding. It is my 'go-to' place for absolutely any artwork I do actually. There is so much that he packs into this that it is difficult to take it all on board at one time. I love that I can re-visit the various components of the course according to where I am at with my paintings. Scott, you are to be commended for what you have done to give others an opportunity to succeed in the art world as well as increasing personal satisfaction in painting on a recreational level. Moreover, when I look at the ocean, I see it through your lens and can hear your voice pointing out the different aspects of the water. Scott you are so good at making it look so easy to paint the wave, I am only up to 21 % of the course and it is so unreal to watch you show your techniques. I am so excited to get started but I am trying to study all that I have watched so far, I feel like I have already learnt so much. I cant believe how going over the acrylics with oil and blending it makes so much difference to painting with just acrylics, I am going to have to invest in some oils, you truly are amazing at what you do best, paint the ocean, I am loving the course and learning some great techniques. I just completed watching this program and I have to say it is fantastic. Scott does an excellent job of explaining the techniques, and each step. I am so glad that I learned about him and that it is Online. I live in the USA so taking a course from him personally would be impossible for me so if you are wondering whether to sign up for this course while it is on sale. Yes, by all means sign up now. It is well worth the money.

I bought the full Paint The Ocean course in January 2019, went through most of it then but life kept interfering. Finally with so much downtime during the Corona pandemic, I purchased the Summer Nights course and eagerly went through it. I've just gone back over aspects of Paint the Ocean and am now more than keen to jump in. These courses are incredible and Scott has a comfortable and easy way of teaching and explaining his techniques. If you think you might like to paint or paint better, don't keep thinking about it. This will help you get there. You are never to old to start somewhere.

I joined this course because I admire Scotts work but after watching the entire course I have been really impressed with the level of professionalism and reality gone into putting this course together. Professionalism in instruction on how to approach and complete a painting; reality in the way it was presented in an easy to understand, encouraging manner. For once an artist has shared what he has learnt without holding back and has done so in such detail that it leaves you in no doubt whatsoever that it is achievable. The advice on the business aspect of things is hard earned knowledge Scott has shared freely and honestly. This course is well worth every cent for those serious about improving their art, even those who have been painting for years will learn.

Found the course very thorough and detailed. I use acrylics and panel board , which is probably a no no , however it is a hobby , and as I am in my mid 80s , and this is my first lesson as such . However your paintings have inspired me, So , down with my woodwork tools and pick up the paint brushes . Your “paint the ocean “course is very informative and great value for money , me thinks .

I am still a learner painter, I have done a few courses, but never has one stayed in my head. There are no boring parts that make you want to skip forward, because every lesson teaches you something new and very important to the whole process. For two years I lost all confidence in myself ever painting something worth looking at. Now thanks to you; As soon as I finish all my work for the day, I go into my painting room and just enjoy it. Really enjoy the simplicity, exactness, ease of understanding this course. Direct and to the point, well written in easy to understand terminology. Most impressive to me is the exact step-by-step procedures to do in sequence. Amazing organizational work. Takes the clutter of my mind and puts the creativity of painting back into it. I can actually follow the procedures and accomplish them with success. Best course I have ever taken.

This course is solid. Scott does not hold back on his techniques and freely shares his knowledge in a way that is easy to absorb and motivates you to want to try it.
